South Korea’s consumer confidence index rises in June

The South Korea consumer confidence index rises in June from the prior month. The Composite Consumer Sentiment Index rose by 3.1 points to 111.1 in June from May’s 108, showed Bank of Korea. Consumer confidence about current living standards rose two points in June from May to 94. Meanwhile, the sentiment concerning their future outlook stayed the same at 103.

Consumer reported confidence related to current domestic economic conditions 11 points above that during May, at 93. The sentiment about the future outlook was one point higher at 112. Consumer sentiments about future household income and spending were one and three points greater respectively than in the previous month at 103 and 109. The expectation for inflation over the following year came in at 2.6.
