Song Hye Kyo is one of the A-list celebrities in South Korea who managed to stay on top since reaching stardom. She married late, at 36 years old, to Song Joong Ki, an equally popular Korean actor. Prior to tying the knot with her “Descendants of the Sun” co-star, the actress dated big names in the industry, and her fans are well-aware of them.
Hye Kyo and Joong Ki, unfortunately, had to end their marriage just after two years of living together as husband and wife. Their divorce became official in July, and their separation was very quiet despite their stature as one of the biggest stars in Asia. In any case, before meeting and dating her now ex-husband, here are the actors that the actress dated.
Lee Byung Hun
As noted on The Jakarta Post, Song Hye Kyo and Byung Hun’s dating story became the hottest topic in South Korea when it was revealed that they have fallen in love on the set of 2003’s “All In” drama. When they parted ways in 2004, it was the most talked-about topic as well in the entertainment business.
Hyun Bin
The actress dated Hyun Bin, a heartthrob and popular actor. They starred together and “The World That They Live In” in 2008 and acting as a lover in the series turned them into a real-life couple. However, they broke up in 2011 after the actor enlisted in the army and volunteered to serve in the Marine Corps, the toughest branch in the military.
Jung Ji Hoon (a.k.a. Rain)
Song Kye Kyo and Rain starred in “Full House” and 2004, and although there was no confirmation that they dated, the news that they did went on until the singer married Kim Tae Hee in 2017. They had really great chemistry in their comedy-drama that became a big hit even outside of Korea; thus, they have been rumored to have dated in real life.
Since Hye Kyo is known to date her leading men, the other actors who were said she dated include Song Seung Heon (Autumn in My Heart), Gang Dong Won (My Brilliant Life) and even Park Bo Gum for last year’s “Encounter.” Bo Gum was even reported to have caused her to split from Song Joong Ki, but this was vehemently denied.
