SAN DIEGO, April 01, 2018 -- Sober living homes Los Angeles exists to provide an affordable, home-like environment for all people in recovery who have successfully completed primary residential treatment for substance addiction and who have the sincere desire to remain in a supportive recovering community as they practice and develop their sober lifestyle and continue to grow physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially. Residents will increase their personal skill level in the areas of: honesty, accountability, obtaining and maintaining gainful employment, social interaction, personal and financial responsibility, self esteem, goal setting and achievement.

Many addicted persons who seek treatment often believe "rehab" is usually a 28 to 30-day stay. In fact, the industry standard has long been a 90 day stay! Reason being, addiction didn't happen overnight and stabilization in recovery doesn't happen over night. It takes quite a while for the physical and psychological effects of addiction to lessen its grips on our bodies and our brain.
Time spent in treatment is a key factor. The national percentage rate of relapse (after a shorter stay in primary treatment) is approximately 85 to 90 percent. Without adequate and quality time to stabilize, and apply the basic principles we learned in treatment, we often fall back into old mindsets, habits, and return to people, places and things that we know. And that, with few exceptions, leads to relapse.
We lose hope, get discouraged and disappointed.
