PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J., Aug. 25, 2016 -- Individuals who pass the Smart Card Alliance’s Certified System Engineer ICAM PACS (CSEIP) exam may now be eligible to receive Continuing Education credits or Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits towards recertification of ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) credentials.
Individuals who have already received CSEIP credentials and have an ASIS certification can check their eligibility to receive ASIS certification credits at https://www.asisonline.org/Certification/Board-Certifications/CPP/Pages/default.aspx.
“The CSEIP certification has become the benchmark for executives in increasingly competitive markets where proven expertise is critical,” said Randy Vanderhoof, executive director of the Smart Card Alliance. “Now, CSEIP-certified professionals will be able to further their knowledge and education to improve security in government, while also differentiating themselves from their peers.”
The Smart Card Alliance CSEIP training and certification program is part of the National Center for Advanced Payments and Identity Security curriculum, and provides advanced training for systems engineers on how to design, configure, test and properly write proposals for Enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (E-PACS) to align with government-wide specifications. This GSA-approved training program provides the training and certification required for E-PACS engineers employed by commercial organizations that are looking to bid on GSA procurement agreements for access control systems.
The next CSEIP training session will be held August 30th through September 1st at the training center, outside of Washington D.C., in Arlington, Virginia. For more details and to register, visit http://nationalcenter.smartcardalliance.org/event/cseip-training-august-30-september-01-2016/.
In addition to the CSEIP program, the National Center for Advanced Payments and Identity Security holds training and certification for:
- CSCIP1 – a program that recognizes professionals who undergo training to gain advanced levels of technical knowledge and understanding of usage models for the smart card industry, and is the smart card industry’s only standardized certification program
- CSCIP/Payments – an extension of CSCIP training that recognizes professionals who undergo training to gain advanced knowledge of payments usage models for the smart card industry
- CSCIP/Government – an extension of CSCIP training that recognizes professionals who undergo training to gain advanced knowledge of government-related identity and security usage models for the smart card industry
