‘Shadowhunters’ season 2’s episode 4, titled “Day of Wrath,” is set to follow Valentine as he attempts to get Jace back with trying to lure him into getting out of imprisonment by fighting alongside him. Meanwhile, Clary is set to join Izzy and Alec to fight off a powerful demon that infiltrates the Institute.
The synopsis for “Day of Wrath” posted on Cartermatt reads, “Clary (Katherine McNamara) continues to struggle with the new Shadowhunter order as Jace (Dominic Sherwood) is being held in The City of Bones with an unknown fate, and all suspicion in the Shadowhunter world continues to rest on Valentine’s (Alan Van Sprang) daughter.
When duty calls, Clary gets a little reprieve from the family drama as she helps Alec (Matthew Daddario) and Isabelle (Emeraude Toubia) hunt down a powerful demon. But what starts out as a routine mission quickly puts the Institute on high alert, and what happens next will change everything for the Shadowhunters and their Downworlder friends.
Meanwhile, Jocelyn (Maxim Roy) has a proposition for Clary as Raphael (David Castro) and Simon (Alberto Rosende) ramp up their hunt for Camille (Kaitlyn Leeb).”
Jace’s fate remains unknown after he was apprehended by the institute to save Alec. In the promo, Valentine gives his son a deal he can’t resist. Valentine is seen trying to persuade Jace to fight alongside him or risk rotting in jail.
However, Jace seems adamant in living out his days in containment in order to hold on to his principles. It remains unknown whether he would succumb to his father’s tempting offer.
Meanwhile, Clary and the rest of the institute will have to deal with an unexpected assault from a demon. According to Christian Times, the demon will eventually infiltrate the once-safe establishment, putting everyone on high alert. Clary then decided to accompanies Alec and Izzy when the mission to capture the demon comes up.
‘Shadowhunters’ season 2’s episode 4, titled “Day of Wrath,” is scheduled to air on Freeform on January 23, 2017. It will be followed by episode 3, titled "Dust and Shadows," scheduled to air on January 30.
