‘Scandal’ season 6’s episode 11, titled “Trojan Horse,” will follow Cyrus’ rise to the top as he is cleared of charges connected to Frankie’s assassination. It was revealed that although Cyrus has claimed the White House for himself, Mellie is still determined to continue fighting. Meanwhile, Olivia’s life is in danger as Cyrus takes his powerful seat at the White House.
The synopsis for “Trojan Horse” posted on TV Guide reads, “Olivia (Kerry Washington) and the team are determined to bring down Peus, but as the electoral college vote nears, the fight for power claims another victim.”
According to Cartermatt, it is possible that the upcoming episode may feature the death of another character. The Electoral College vote is just around the corner and it is more than likely that the struggle for power will take another person’s life. It was speculated that although Huck (Guillermo Diaz) was nearly killed off in the previous episodes, his chances of surviving the upcoming episode remain strong.
In the final moments of the promo for episode 11, Olivia is told that should certain circumstances arise, her life will be in mortal danger as she will be the target of a man hunt. It would be interesting to see the results for the upcoming Electoral College vote as well as Olivia’s fate in the show.
Meanwhile, it was hinted that Mellie (Bellamy Young) will do everything in her power to come out as the victor and seal her position in the White House. The promo showed Mellie and Olivia meeting to talk about Cyrus Beene’s (Jeff Perry) rise to the top. It was revealed that there will be nothing they can do to kick Cyrus off his powerful position.
Meanwhile, a clip shows a press conference being held with the announcement that Cyrus has been cleared of all charges connected to the assassination of Frankie Vargas (Ricardo Chavira). Olivia and Mellie realize that it will only be a matter of time before Cyrus goes after them as well. However, Mellie tells Olivia that she is not giving up the fight.
