Samsung Electronics Co. will collaborate with a local fashion accessory brand Joseph&Stacey to conduct various marketing activities for the Galaxy Note 20 phablet.
Joseph&Stacey, a Seoul-based handbag and wallet maker, will create pleated knit bags designed specifically for carrying the Galaxy Note 20, also using the colors of the phablet.
Both firms will conduct marketing events together, including a bag design contest where consumers can draw their handbag with Galaxy Note 20's S Pen stylus.
Joseph&Stacey will choose 100 consumer-designed bags submitted in the contest and will manufacture them.
Samsung, which recently been working with fashion brands in its smartphone marketing, said the latest collaboration targets young consumers that treat smartphones as a fashion item.
Earlier this year, Samsung collaborated with US fashion brand Thom Browne in its release of the limited edition of the Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone.
The Thom Browne edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 foldable smartphone is set to be launched next month.
