The buzz around the yet-to-launch Samsung Galaxy S7 is increasing every day. Going by the rumor mill, the handset will have 3GB RAM, and will have magnesium alloy design. PhoneArena reported that there will be just one "edge" handset released by Samsung next year, and it will be part of the Samsung Galaxy S7 line.
“There seems to be some truth to this as rumors have already circulated about two different versions of the Galaxy S7 that are currently being tested. One has a 5.2-inch screen, and the other carries a 5.8-inch display. The latter would probably be the new curved screen model for 2016”, said PhoneArena.
Now, based on one of the latest Samsung patent, 3DFuture studio has come up with a brand new concept images showing the new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for 2016 with revised edges.
“The new device has display with edges on the top and on the bottom of the phone instead of the sides as the former SG6 edge. With this change and full metal body it looks much more luxury than any other previous S-line phone in history”, says 3DFuture studio.
The South Korean giant recently patented a “trapezoid” shaped phone that seems to the basis of the concept images.
“Not every such patent companies are granted actually turn into a consumer product, but this sure is interesting...Samsung has also been filing for various foldable smartphone patents this year, so who knows what can we expect the company to announce in 2016”, AndroidHeadlines said.
The images show a very slick handset and if true it will definitely be a major deviation and indeed a pleasant one, from the Samsung Galaxy product line-up available so far.
