CHICAGO, Jan. 15, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SP Plus Corporation (SP+), (Nasdaq:SP), a leader in parking management, ground transportation and other ancillary services, today announced the promotion of Robert M. Toy to the newly-created position of President of Urban Operations, effective immediately, which consolidates the Company’s urban operations under a single leader. All eight of the Company’s Senior Vice Presidents of urban operations, together with the Executive Vice President of the Company’s New York Tri-State Region, will report directly to Mr. Toy.
“Rob’s strong leadership skills, extensive industry experience and in-depth involvement with the Company’s evolution and success over the past several years make him well suited for this important role,” stated Marc Baumann, Chief Executive Officer. “I believe this streamlined structure will speed decision-making and more effectively leverage the Company’s resources as we look to accelerate our growth.”
Most recently, Mr. Toy served as Executive Vice President of the Company’s Southern Division. During his tenure with the Company, he has held various positions with progressively more responsibility within the organization. Before joining SP+ in 1998 as an executive vice president of USA Parking System, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary, he served as chief operating officer for a regional parking organization and as a national operations vice president for a national parking organization. He has 33 years of industry experience, and participates in various professional organizations, including the National Parking Association and International Parking Institute.
SP+ provides professional parking, ground transportation, facility maintenance, security and event logistics services to property owners and managers in all markets of the real estate industry. The Company has more than 22,000 employees.
