A new promo ahead of Episode 4 of The CW’s “Riverdale” appears to take a closer look at the woman who first made Archie (KJ Apa) more than blush: Ms Grundy (guest star Sarah Habel).
The video ahead of the episode showing February 16, Archie and the gang are now wondering if Ms Grundy is really who she is, given her very mysterious past. And for the comic books’ diehard fans, it would be a relief to know that the real Ms Grundy in the show could be an old, white-haired lady when Betty (Lili Reinhart) stumbled upon a driver’s license and information which could confirm that the current Ms Grundy is not the sexy, bespectacled music teacher. Veronica (Camila Mendes) also revealed to the redhead hunk that they also found a gun in her car, which could very well be the gun that killed Jason (Trevor Stines).
Showbiz Junkies is excited to see the developing relationship between Betty and Veronica as they delve further into the mystery behind Ms Grundy. On the other hand, MoviePilot wonders whether The CW will really venture into the “are-they-or-aren’t-they” arc, as fans (and even the comic books) are suggested that there’s something more than just being best of friends.
On the other hand, the next episode could very well be a tipping point between Betty and Archie, whose relationship is already on thin ice. If we’re basing it from the promo, it appears that Betty and Veronica have confronted their discovery with Archie. In one part of the clip, Ms Grundy’s real driver’s license reveals her as one Jennifer Gibson, and that the real Ms Grundy died years ago, The Christian Post noted. In the final scene, Archie is shown asking his secret lover her real identity. It remains to be seen whether he’ll protect her the second time around.
