HOUSTON, Dec. 21, 2016 -- RigNet, Inc. (NASDAQ:RNET), a leading global provider of customized systems and solutions serving customers with complex data networking and operational requirements, has renewed a multi-year agreement with a premier offshore driller. RigNet will provide managed services along with a network optimization and a cyber security Over-the-Top (OTT) solution for the customer’s active fleet of drillships, semisubmersibles, and jackups deployed around the world.
RigNet will provide a robust managed communication solution using latest technology to connect remote sites to the customer’s network infrastructure. RigNet will supply a WAN optimization solution to optimize network traffic flow. Additionally, RigNet’s intrusion detection system will be installed to ensure real-time monitoring of cyber threats against the IT infrastructure on remote locations.
