Former CEO of Bakkt Officially Sworn-in As The US Senator

Kelly Loeffler, who happens to be the former CEO of ICE-backed crypto exchange Bakkt, has sworn-in to serve in the US Senate, she has officially been appointed by Georgia Governor, Brian Kemp.

She announces this news in her latest tweet, Loeffler announced that she was sworn into the U.S. Senate by Mike Pence, she was honoured as the Senate’s chief officer, to become Georgia’s new Senator.

As Loeffler has steped down from her CEO designation at Bakkt before taking the oath of office at Georgia and she will replace Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson who departed in December 2019 owing to the health issues.

The Kemp’s decision of choosing Loeffler was against Trump’s choices as the President’s camaraderie in the Republican Party reportedly urged Governor to select in favour of Rep. Doug Collins, an ardent supporter of US head of state.

However, Loeffler’s 16 years’ service at Bakkt after of working for ICE and leading the company’s crypto start-ups has been commendable and Kemp would have thought her as the most suitable candidate.

Loeffler said in an interview with Time magazine, that she hadn’t yet communicated with President Trump since her appointment. She said: “I know I have to earn the trust and support of the president And I’m going to work very hard to do that through my actions and my votes, and I’m confident that that will happen.”

InterContinental Exchange (ICE) announces Mr. Mike Blandina as the new CEO of Bakkt and Mr.Adam White as the President of Bakkt. The new appointment of CEO is announced as Kelly Loeffler had to leave the position after her appointment to the United States Senate. During her tenure, Loeffler has come up with the optimistic perception on the digital currency quite often and accordingly has taken relevant decisions in the recent past.

Can the crypto-community get to see more support from her latest move as she could proclaim and persuade her insights on crypto-industries’ technicalities and the prospects? Only time should answer this as President Trump has so far been reluctant on Bitcoin. Trump regarded Bitcoin as not money and many analysts in the US are quite sceptic about cryptocurrency gamut and perceive them as Ponzi Schemes. Many folks have congratulated her on the event hoping that the oath she took to the Constitution is never far from her thoughts and conscience.
