HOLIDAY, Fla., May 25, 2017 -- In recognition of National Prevention Week, the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, (FDFW), a group supported by the Church of Scientology, hosted a booth at “The Next 24 Hours Recovery Ministries”, Convention held in Holiday Florida on Saturday the 20th of May. The Next 24 Hours Recovery Ministries, (a group that works with addicts to help them in their recovery) organized Saturday as “Recovery Day” to celebrate those who are recovering from addiction.

The President of FDFW Florida, Julieta Santagostino, distributed over 400 Truth About Drugs booklets at the booth on Saturday to ministers, parishioners, recovering addicts and those interested in recovering.
Ms. Santagostino said, “I think it is vital that our communities learn the Truth about Drugs so they can be effective in prevention and recovery.”
Pastor Michael Kirk of “The Next 24 Hours Recovery Ministries” also participated in the distribution of the Truth About Drugs booklets, welcoming FDFW in their campaign to get true data to communities about drugs.
FOUNDATION FOR A DRUG-FREE WORLD
The Foundation For A Drug-Free World’s International Truth About Drugs program has reached 260 million people worldwide. The program is committed to eradicating drug abuse and providing meaningful drug education to young people. At the forefront of the Drug-Free World program are The Truth About Drugs booklets translated into 17 languages with 14 in all. Inside are fact-based descriptions of mental and physical manifestations of each commonly abused drug reinforced by firsthand accounts from former users.
The Florida chapter of the FDFW is located in Clearwater Florida. Emblazoned on the wall of the FDFW Florida headquarters is a quote from Mr. L. Ron Hubbard: “The single most destructive element in these societies today is drugs.”
