(Nasdaq:RETA) (“Reata”), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, today announced that, due to adverse market conditions, it has requested withdrawal of its Registration Statement on Form S-1 (File No. 333-214915) (the “Registration Statement”) that was filed on December 6, 2016, with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) for a proposed underwritten public offering of shares of its Class A common stock. The Registration Statement has not been declared effective by the SEC, and no securities have been sold in connection with the offering described in the Registration Statement.
