The British Royal Family is prone to being a target of gossips of all kinds due simply to the nature of its standing, and Prince William, Kate Middleton rumors are always in abundance. Recently, some of these reports have touched on rather serious issues, including a supposed change in succession. It would also seem that jealousy has recently played a role, but not in the way that people might think.

In a recent Prince William, Kate Middleton coverage, the tabloid publication Star made the frivolous claim that Queen Elizabeth’s grandson would inherit the throne instead of her son, Prince Charles. As Gossip Cop reports, this particular piece of gossip is completely false. If it had been made during the time that the monarchy had true power, such a claim would have been considered treasonous.

“William & Kate: King & Queen!” the Star headline regarding the Prince William, Kate Middleton piece reads. It was then followed by lurid details about how Prince Charles supposedly reacted to the succession coup. This information reportedly came from a source who did not keep up with the official standing of British leaders.

Back in April, it was already announced that Prince Charles would be taking the throne and at the behest of Queen Elizabeth, at that. As such, this Prince William, Kate Middleton gossip has been proven false long before it was ever conceived.

Of the Prince William, Kate Middleton reports that have come out recently, though, at least one of them was bound to be real. In the case of the jealousy that the Duchess of Cambridge felt, the admission came directly from the Duke, himself. He made the revelation during a speech in Namibia, where Prince William made a joke about his wife wanting to be there, E! Online reports.

"I'm delighted to be visiting Namibia for the first time," he said. "I'm only sorry that my wife, Catherine, is not able to join me. She is immensely jealous,” Prince William had said.
