Nike has unveiled an Air Jordan 1 that pays homage to the craftsmanship of Rolex, which comes with gold, suede accents, and a green alligator-effect outer.
These design details take inspiration from the 1963-released OG 18 carat gold Rolex Daytona, which features a sapphire crystal case and a green dial. In addition, the sneaker's tongue is printed with Rolex's five-point crown motif.
The sneakers, designed by Connor Seltz and design studio Ceeze, are available for pre-order from £2,650.
It would take at least three months for the shoes to land on your doorstep.
Seltz was recognized as a key player in the sneaker customization game in 2018 after his Off-Louis Air Jordan 1, a custom Nike sneaker with Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram across its upper, went viral on social media.
Last November, Seltz and his team presented a custom Jordan 1 High “Duckboot" that has natural vachetta leather construction and lack of top-coat to let it slowly age.
One of Ceeze's standout designs is a limited edition “Freddy vs Jason” Air Jordan 1, constructed from dark brown napa leather and python skin. It was dyed the same green and white as Freddy’s striped sweater.
Seltz has been tapped by Nike and Reebok to design Freddy's sneakers.
