It will not be long when “Power” season 6 arrives, and fans are excited more than ever. Ahead of the awaited premiere, Starz also released the full trailer of the upcoming installment and with that alone, fans can see why this has been titled the “Final Betrayal.”
The video revealed many things about “Power” season 6 and one most notable realization that it gave the viewers is that fact that James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) may die in this installment. This is because the preview clearly showed that people around him are out to get him, even people he once thought to be his friends.
Who will kill Ghost?
The trailer did not actually show that Ghost will die, but with how the story was going, this seems to be the case. The “Power” season 6 teaser also suggested that it might be Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) who will send him to his grave. If this is really how the story will turn out, then this perfectly exhibited why the sixth season was titled the “Final Betrayal.”
Plot summary
Aside from the video teaser, Starz also published the official synopsis of “Power” season 6” to give the fans more idea of what to expect. Via press release, the network shared the summary, and it reads: “It picks up with James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick seeking vengeance and his former drug partner and brother in arms must pay for the ultimate betrayal. Rocked to his core by the perfidiousness and cruelties of those he once called his family, Ghost devotes himself to one notion: Success is the best revenge, with all intentions of getting both.”
Series finale
It was previously reported that “Power” season 6 is going to be the series finale but 50 Cent, one of the executive producer, wrote on social media that he changed his mind. The rapper and actor explained that the show is just to good to end, so he does not want it to end in the sixth installment. He also promised four spinoffs of the series which should get fans excited.
Air date
“Power” season 6 is set to arrive on small screens on Aug. 25 on Starz. The show will offer a total of 15 episodes.
