DELRAY BEACH, Fla., March 20, 2017 -- PositiveID Corporation (“PositiveID” or “Company”) (OTC:PSID), a life sciences company focused on detection and diagnostics, announced today that its E-N-G Mobile Systems subsidiary (“ENG”), a specialty vehicle manufacturer, is expanding its service offering to include mobile support and repairs on-call or under a service contract to help its customers minimize vehicle downtime.
Under its previous model, which is the industry standard, customers would be required to take their units out of service and bring the vehicles to an ENG service facility for work to be performed. The downtime can be expensive and have a significant impact on a customer’s business whether news vans, cellular platforms, power utilities, command centers, etc. With its new mobile service, when possible, ENG will bring the repair or maintenance directly to the customer.
ENG designs and builds mobile laboratories, wireless support vehicles (cell-on-wheels and cell-on-light-trucks), radio frequency (“RF”) test platforms, broadcast news vehicles, and other technical vehicles. ENG has delivered more than 1,400 specialty vehicles to customers around the globe, including more than 400 mobile laboratories, 600 broadcast news vehicles, and more than 400 vehicles for cellular, RF, infrared, and other applications.
ENG’s service business includes repair and maintenance, mast service and sales, Nycoil fabrication, custom mast payload brackets, generator sales and installation, custom metal fabrication, technical vehicle repairs, custom panel engraving, electronics upgrades and sales, cable assemblies, and more.
“Helping our customers keep their vehicles in service as much is possible is key to keeping their businesses running as usual,” stated Lyle L. Probst, President of PositiveID. “Customer satisfaction and world-class service has always been at the core of ENG’s mission, and, we believe, will continue to help us grow our business and attract new customers.”
