Poland's zloty likely to remain volatile

The electoral commission released first official results last evening confirming PiS' dominant showing in the weaken elections. The final seat count will be released later today afternoon, but based on the official vote count, PiS is likely to have captured the 231 seats required to form a single party government.

The zloty will likely trend weaker and remain volatile as the incoming party uses its dominant mandate to take Poland's economic policies into a new nationalist paradigm, hits the banks with multiple charges, and moves away from an euro adoption framework, says Commerzbank.
