QUINCY, Calif., Nov. 09, 2016 -- Plumas Bank, a subsidiary of Plumas Bancorp (NASDAQ:PLBC), is proud to support the Reno Veterans Guest House. The Veterans Guest House provides United States military service veterans and their families temporary overnight accommodations when receiving treatment at a medical facility in the Reno-Sparks area. It is the only privately funded facility of its kind in the country serving U.S. military veterans; they receive no government funding for its operations.
Plumas Bank’s partnership with the Veterans Guest House originated through one of its own. Client Services Specialist, Lucy Miller, has served on the Veterans Guest House board for two years. Miller stated, “Since its inception 22 years ago, this ‘home away from home’ has served our veterans and their families well and I am very proud to see it thrive.” She continued, “In the past 9 years the Veterans Guest House has logged over 50,000 guest nights. It serves veterans from nine counties in Nevada and eight counties in northeastern California; Plumas Bank serves in many of the same regions. The Veterans Guest House satisfies a crucial need for those that sacrificed for our country.”
Veterans Guest House Chief Executive Officer Noreen Leary commented, “It’s wonderful to have a kind and compassionate person like Lucy on our board and to know that Plumas Bank supports our passion and our efforts also.”
This Veterans Day is the perfect time to offer support for this worthy cause. Please come to the Veterans Guest House Open House this Friday, Veterans Day, November 11, 2016, to honor, remember, and celebrate our veterans! Everyone is invited to join in on the many events that will take place at the Guest House located at 880 Locust St., Reno.
