Figures from the statistical office Istat showed Friday that Italy's producer prices continued to decline in November. However, the pace of decrease slowed from prior year.
Italy's total producer price index decreased by 0.1 percent with respect to the previous month the same pace of decline as seen in October. This was the second consecutive fall in prices. Prices were expected to grow 0.2 percent.
Producer prices decreased only 0.3 percent on a yearly basis in November after easing 0.6 percent in October. The percentage change of the average of the last three months compared to the previous three months increased by 0.2 percent.
The index of producer price decreased by 0.2 percent on domestic market and it was unchanged on non-domestic market.
