“One Piece” Episode 856 is where Luffy will finally get his chance to land a hit on Katakuri after so many episodes of simply getting beat half to death. So far, it’s looking like the future Pirate King is simply no match for the Sweets Commander. However, as is the case with most people, Katakuri also has a weakness and Luffy is about to discover it. [Spoilers Ahead].
Since the fight between the two stretchy fighters started, it was clear that Luffy was at a huge disadvantage. Even after using the strongest weapons at his disposal, the Straw Hat captain was simply no match for Katakuri. This is about to change in “One Piece” Episode 856 when Luffy sees his face while having a snack, The Anime Scrolls reports.
The exposure causes the Sweets Commander to lose his cool, which then gave Luffy the opportunity to do some real damage. Unfortunately, this does not last long since Katakuri eventually regains his composure. Then again, it’s already too late. “One Piece” Episode 856 will see Luffy finally realizing what he could do if he wanted to win.
The secret behind Katakuri’s seemingly overwhelming advantage in fighting Luffy is his ability to use foresight. Even a brief glimpse into the future is enough to allow the Sweets Commander to make most attacks against him useless. Having a body made of mochi is quite handy that way, but “One Piece” Episode 856 also reveals the weakness of this ability.
To make use of it, Katakuri needs to have perfect concentration, which means that he will need to remain calm all the time. If Luffy can rattle him enough, he could lose his cool, and by extension, his advantage. This will not be happening in “One Piece” Episode 856, though, which is scheduled to air on Oct. 7, Otaku Kart reports.
