OPEC strategy sees mixed success after a year

There are no noticeable fluctuations in the prices expected today due to the Thanksgiving holiday in United States. The OPEC meeting on last year's Thanksgiving was held, in which Saudi Arabia was successful in changing the strategy.

Although non-OPEC supply is now growing considerably more slowly, crude oil is priced 35% lower than it was directly after last year's meeting.

"Whether the strategy can be described as a success one year on is therefore questionable," says Commerzbank in a research note.
