“Now You See Me 3” is underway! For starters, “Now You See Me,” a 2013 film about a bunch of bank robbers, was a surprise smash due to excellent acting, vivid battle sequences, and an ending shock that had most spectators asking the magician to divulge their secret. As fans await more details, here is everything we know so far about the imminent “Now You See Me 3” movie.
‘Now You See Me 3’ Release Date
Though “Now You See Me 3” rumors have circulated for years, Lionsgate has just recently confirmed the threequel. According to ComicBook.com, Venom filmmaker Ruben Fleischer will helm the film, with the distributor noting, "We reimagined Now You See Me with Ruben Fleischer, who is an absolute master at shepherding franchises." If you believe he did Venom and Uncharted, you'll be pleased. That will begin in the spring."
“Now You See Me 3” will reportedly begin production in spring 2024, with Alex Kurtzman and Bobby Cohen returning to produce. No official “Now You See Me 3” release date has been announced as of this writing. To recall, the first film in the franchise was released in 2013, with a sequel following in 2016. Both grossed $350 million and $700 million at the box office, with the first film apparently costing $75 million to make.
‘Now You See Me 3’ Cast
“Now You See Me 3” has revealed that Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, and Jesse Eisenberg will reprise their primary roles. Other personalities expected to make a return include Mark Ruffalo as Dylan Rhodes, Dave Franco as Jack Wilder, Daniel Radcliffe as Walter Mabry and Lizzy Caplan as Lula.
However, given that “Now You See Me 3” is supposedly receiving a "fresh take," there's no reason to believe that new cast members won't be added to continue the plot. Actors like Isla Fisher haven't been seen since the first film. Michael Caine, who appeared in the first two films, is the only known cast member who will not be returning owing to his retirement from acting.
‘Now You See Me 3’ Spoilers
There is currently no clear information regarding what will happen in “Now You See Me 3,” however there are certain loose ends from the first two films that might be explored.
To recall, the Horsemen were accepted into the Eye at the end of the second film, and Dylan was named as its new commander. The third film might go more into the Eye's history and worldwide reach.
Furthermore, “Now You See Me 3” might continue the concept of vengeance established in the second, with unknown new foes attempting to take down the Horsemen on behalf of his father, whom the Horsemen plundered in the first film.
