Nike confirmed that it's teamed up with professional basketball player Sabrina Ionescu for the launch of its first-ever gender-neutral athletic wear collection, dubbed Sabrina 1, to be released this summer on nike.com and nike.com/gb.
Ionescu will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka as the face of the gender-neutral range.
To help players to move fast across the court, the lightweight footwear has Zoom Air in the forefoot and Nike React cushioning in the heel.
It is made to be flexible and sensitive, and it incorporates a stabilizing shank in the middle of the foot to prevent players from losing their balance.
According to Nike, it is built for impact and action and filled with subtle meaningful touches.
This includes nods to New York Liberty player’s heritage, with embroidered patterns reminiscent of Romanian art and architecture at the forefront.
The collection features gender-neutral activewear, which includes t-shirts, shorts, a hoodie, and Nike Unicorn socks made with Dri-FIT ADV.
