Fans who are missing the sweet and bright personality of Jess of the hit comedy TV series ‘New Girl’ will surely rejoice to this surprising news. Are you all ready to read it? Well, buckle up and reminders, spoilers ahead!
Zooey Deschanel, who plays Jess, is finally back from her maternity leave, and will again grace the airwaves as Jess. Her character Jess undergone a jury duty and now that she is done with it, she is back to the apartment and will finally see the new girl that replaced her temporarily.
Megan Fox, who plays Reagan, will now move out of the loft now that Jess is back. But for all you Fox’s fans out there, do not worry as acording to series creator Liz Meriwether, Fox will still guest star and she will be forming a special bond with Jess.
"I didn't want to write a story with two women at each other's throats," Meriwether explained to TVLine. "So we went the other direction with it. We kept all of the drama inside [Nick's] head."
On Tuesday's episode, the synopsis mentioned that Fox's Reagan is preparing herself to move out of the loft and end things with Nick (Jake Johnson); but is it really the last appearance of Reagan?
Now that Jess is finally back, the team is still deciding on whether they would keep Reagan in the show judging from how well received it was by the fans.
According to executive producer Brett Baer, Fox is likely to come back as Reagan as there have been negotiations on this matter. She will be making an appearance in a different arc since she makes things interesting for Jess and Nick, as well as for the rest of the characters.
Many fans of the Nick-Jess love team though are worried that the two might never get back, what with Reagan being around. However, executive producer Brett Baer and Meriwether told Entertainment Weekly during the show's 100th episode party in Los Angeles last week that there's still hope for the couple.
"The door is not totally shut," Meriwether said. "No, it's never totally shut with those two, which is the fun of it," Baer chimed in.
