Mountain America Credit Union and the Utah Jazz “Pass It Along” To 180 Ministries

WEST JORDAN, Utah, Feb. 09, 2018 -- Mountain America Credit Union and the Utah Jazz announced today that 180 Ministries is this season’s fourth recipient of “Pass It Along,” a program featuring fan nomination opportunities that rewards five local charitable organizations with $5,000 each.

180 Ministries for Girls, which is a residential recovery program that offers at-risk girls the opportunity to live, learn and heal within a structured and supportive environment, will be presented with a $5,000 donation prior to the Monday, February 12 game versus the San Antonio Spurs at Vivint Smart Home Arena. The photo and check presentation will take place on center court at 5:00 p.m.

“We, at 180 Ministries for Girls Teen Challenge program, are very thankful to the Utah Jazz and Mountain America Credit Union for selecting us as this month’s ‘Pass It Along’ recipient,” said Greg Preston, Executive Director for 180 Ministries for Girls. “This generous donation enables us to continue the goal of transforming young lives of at-risk teen girls.”

In addition to the $5,000 donation, 180 Ministries for Girls received a visit from Mountain America Credit Union President and CEO Sterling Nielsen along with tickets to Monday’s game.

Fans are encouraged to nominate local charitable groups that they feel go above and beyond in giving back to the community via www.utahjazz.com/passitalong. One winner will be announced each month through March 2018, for a total of $25,000 being donated to five deserving organizations.
