Michael Schumacher health news: Racing champ nearing full recovery? His friends believe so

Michael Schumacher is believed to have been bedridden for a few years since sustaining a grave injury to his head due to the freak skiing accident in December 2013. It almost killed him but the doctors put him in an induced coma so he will live and it worked.

However, it was never known if Schumacher was able to wake up from his coma with improvements or he remained bedridden for years or even until now. This is because his family never release updates about his condition and they stopped sharing news about Schumi’s health a few months after his accident. They want privacy and determined to keep Schumi’s condition a secret.

How is Michael now?

Michael Schumacher has been out of the public eye for six years now and while many fans want to get a glimpse of him, it is not possible due to his family’s strict rule of banning the media from getting updates about his condition. They themselves won’t talk as well and fans only get to know something about Schumi when his friends break the secrecy rule form time to time and share how he is doing.

It is believed that Schumacher is out of coma now but the news that he is able to walk and talk could be false. While he was able to get back his consciousness, he did not get it back 100 percent.

His friends shared Schumi is recovering well

Michael Schumacher’s close friends are allowed to visit him from time to time. Although they want the racing champ to get well soon and recover fully, they were honest enough to say that the F1 legend is still far from being the Michael that they have known. This means to say that he may still be far from full recovery but he and his family are not giving up.

His latest health update came from Schumacher’s former Ferrari boss Jean Todt. He said that Michael is awake and still fighting. He added that they showed great improvements and they can even watch TV together now.

"I saw the race together with Michael Schumacher at his home in Switzerland," Todt told Radio Monte Carlo via The Sun. "Michael is in the best hands and is well looked after in his house. He does not give up and keeps fighting."
