In a move that's stirred excitement and envy among McDonald's enthusiasts in the United States, the fast-food giant has unveiled a new line of fruity beverages. Dubbed the McFloat Blast, the beverages are exclusively available overseas.
This summer, patrons in Indonesia are the lucky ones to sample this refreshing treat in three tantalizing flavor combos: Sprite x Mango, Coca-Cola x Strawberry, and Sprite x Sakura. According to Parade, this revelation, initially shared by the food blog Snackolator, has since ignited a flurry of online discussion.
An International Delight
Offering a cool respite during the balmy months, these McFloat Blasts combine beloved sodas with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, finished with a fruity flavor. PressBee noted that Snackolator's post enthusiastically details the process, inviting fans to mix their favorite soda with a dollop of ice cream and a "flavor blast" of either mango, strawberry, or sakura.
A concept reminiscent of Sonic's offerings in the U.S., McDonald's adaptation has garnered attention for its unique twist on creating the perfect summer beverage.
Fans React With Desire and Humor
The international exclusive has not gone unnoticed by the American audience, with many taking to social media to express their excitement and disappointment. Comments range from earnest pleas for the chain to bring these flavors stateside to humorous memes expressing fans' desires, including one featuring Prince Harry.
Among the reactions, some fans also took the opportunity to request the return of other favorites, like the Grimace and Hamburglar shakes, showcasing the fervent loyalty and engagement of the McDonald's community.
This announcement comes hot on the heels of another reveal that caused a stir among American fans—a comeback of the Confetti Cookie Dough McFlurry, but only in Canada. Together, these international exclusives have left U.S. consumers longing for what could be as McDonald's continues to tantalize taste buds around the globe.
