HERNDON, Va., Jan. 06, 2017 -- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has awarded ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT) a prime contract to provide Test and Evaluation (T&E) support to its weapons and combat systems. The cost-plus-fixed-fee task order has a 12-month base period of performance and four 12-month option periods, with a potential total value to ManTech of $87 million.
ManTech will support NSWCDD by providing comprehensive T&E across the U.S. Navy’s weapons and combat systems programs, to include Aegis, Aegis BMD, SSDS, DDG-10000, and littoral combat ship platforms to the U.S. Navy and other Department of Defense organizations. ManTech will also provide engineering expertise for naval ships worldwide, as required.
“Continuing our partnership with NSWCDD to comprehensively test and evaluate the state of combat weapon systems for successful fleet mission support, today and tomorrow, is a privilege for ManTech. It expands our presence and capabilities in support of the Navy’s mission,” said Daniel J. Keefe, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s Mission Solutions & Services Group.
