Major Asian markets trading higher, Gold hovers around $1240

Most Asian markets are trading on a higher note on Thursday. Hang seng is the only index which is trading on a lower note. From the data front from US, ADP job data released with positive numbers at 214K m/m vs 193K m/m previous release. The key event for the week is NFP job data from US, which is due on Friday.  Important to note here that despite positive US ADP data, Gold moved higher and currently supported around $1240 marks.

Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 index was trading 0.89% higher at 16,895.24 points on Thursday morning in Tokyo, while the broader Topix index gained 1.35% to trade at 1,367.77 points.

Hang Seng index was trading 0.79% lower at 19,852.78 points, while the Shanghai Composite index rose 0.52% to 2,864.59 points.

Kospi index was trading almost flat 0.16% higher at 1950 points.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index was trading 0.76% higher at 5,059.10 points at around midday in Sydney, while New Zealand's S&P/NZX 50 index rose 0.62% to 6,352.37 points.
