“Lucifer” season 4 is definitely coming back after being saved by Netflix last year. Many fans were disappointed with FOX after it canceled the show just after three seasons but luckily, their wish has been heard and the streaming site picked it up and ordered new episodes for its fourth installment.

The avid viewers of the series played a big role with “Lucifer” season 4’s renewal so the cast and crew did not forget to thank them when their show was saved from being sacked forever. In any case, filming for the upcoming season stated immediately after the announcement that the drama has been revived.

From time to time, the actors of “Lucifer” season 4 also post behind-the-scenes photos of their shoot and this really excite the fans because they can see that it is really happening – their favorite show is returning for more awesome stories about Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis).

It was previously revealed that filming for “Lucifer” season 4 has already ended as well and the question that remained is when is it going to be released? Tom Ellis knows how much the fans want their show to premiere already so via social media, he posted a message that hinted on when their drama is arriving.

On his account, he wrote, “Ok people asking in UK #Luciferseason 4 will premiere next year on @NetflixUK.” Of course, even if he only mentioned “U.K.” it should be noted that before it reaches the United Kingdom, it will be released in the U.S. first so the release suggestion is not only applicable to that part of the world. Then again, the exact date has yet to be announced by Netflix.

Probably, Aimee Garcia (Ella Lopez) provided a better hint for “Lucifer” season 4’s premiere. Like Tom Ellis, she shared via Twitter that their show may be arriving in either April or May.

What will Happen in the 4th Season?

The full plot of “Lucifer” season 4 was not revealed but based on the available sources, it will show Lucifer going against a new villain. He will also encounter the original sinner, Eve (Inbar Levi), once again. It was divulged that the two had been romantic in the past and she will tempt him again.

Finally, the confirmed cast for “Lucifer” season 4 also includes Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen, Kevin Alejandro as Detective Dan Espinoza, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin and DB Woodside as Amenadiel. Inbar Levi is the new cast addition but it is not clear if her role is a recurring one or she will be a series regular.
