New York, NY, April 10, 2018 -- Light Reading (www.lightreading.com) has partnered with CORD, Linux Foundation and Open Compute Project to host three pre-conference workshops at its fifth-annual, flagship Big Communications Event (www.bigcommunicationsevent.com) taking place on May 14-16 in Austin, Texas. The workshops, held on Monday, May 14, run alongside Light Reading's popular, annual Women in Comms luncheon.
Taking place on Monday, May 14 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., the CORD Workshop discusses how CORD, a division of the ONF, provides a complete platform for delivering services to mobile, residential and enterprise customers by leveraging the best of cloud, NFV and SDN.

Our CORD workshop will bring together operators and our broader community to share the latest developments in CORD. Taking place on Monday, May 14 from 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. this workshop covers several ongoing work streams from both the Telco and Networking Projects.
"We are excited to be partnering with Light Reading at their Big Communications Event for the third year. This year's workshop will discuss ongoing work streams in our Telecom & Networking Projects. The community has collaborated on numerous edge product specifications and is working with open source software communities to deliver the complete HW and SW solution.
