Libra brings PWC's ex-blockchain head on board

California-based Libra, blockchain and smart contract application software, has announced the addition of Jeremy Drane as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) among other management personnel additions.

According to the official release, Drane was previously employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as U.S. Blockchain & Smart Contract Leader. He also held various leadership positions at PwC in the tax, assurance and advisory lines.

“Jeremy joins the Libra team from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he was the first Blockchain-focused employee and established PwC's distributed ledger (DLT) practice. His expertise in setting commercial strategy, engaging with the startup ecosystem, and positioning blockchain solutions with global financial institutions further enables Libra to deliver on its strategy to be the management information layer for blockchain inspired systems,” Jake Benson, founder and CEO of Libra said.

In addition to Drane, the company has also grown recently with other key additions to Libra's executive management team. The company saw the addition of Dave Albert as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Deepak Rao as VP Product Strategy.

Joining the team, Drane said, “Essentially, Libra is focused on reducing the cost, time, and risk associated with executing blockchain experiments and implementations while increasing the probability of funding and executive support as POC's move through enterprise software evaluation.”

Libra enables and accelerates the adoption of collaborative tech by connecting business and development users with distributed ledgers.
