IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 20, 2018 -- Identillect Technologies Corp. (the "Company" or "Identillect") (TSX-V:ID) (OTCQB:IDTLF) (Frankfurt:8ID), a trusted leading provider of email security for the legal sector, announced today Legal Aid of Arkansas has selected Delivery Trust® to secure their email communications, protecting their clients’ information.
Legal Aid of Arkansas’s mission is to improve the lives of low-income individuals across the state, they provide equal access to legal representation regardless of economic or social circumstances.
Legal Aid of Arkansas is a non-profit organization which provides free legal services to low-income individuals residing in the state of Arkansas in civil (non-criminal) cases. They have a staff of 45, including 25 attorneys, and over 850 volunteer attorneys who field 15,000 calls annually for individuals needing assistance in 31 counties.
According to the ABA’s 2016 Legal Technology Survey more than 25% of firms surveyed stated they previously experienced a data breach. Internet of Things (IoT) is the way daily use items connect to the internet to capture updates and information but is also a point of weakness, and law firms and legal organizations are not immune to these vulnerabilities. A recent article, “Hackers are aggressively targeting law firms' data,” defined IoT along with other security challenges as creating the need for encryption products like Delivery Trust® to protect data. A recent business wire article indicates more than half U.S. businesses have been hit with IoT breaches.
Lee Richardson, Executive Director at the Legal Aid of Arkansas states, “Our organization has been looking for a simple security solution for low-income users we provide legal assistance to. Many times, they only have internet access through public locations with limited security. We chose Delivery Trust for its simplicity and easy access while maintaining the highest level of security.”
Identillect CEO Todd Sexton comments, “We are pleased with the continued success of Identillect’s relationship with ArkBar and their members. It is our honor to serve the largest non-profit legal aid provider in Arkansas. They provide an invaluable service to the low-income communities across Arkansas to allow for legal representation they would not otherwise have access to. We believe they should have superior security to protect them as well. Please remember that funding for this organization comes from community donations which are critical for the low-income community; they need your donations for their community outreach work.”
