Las Vegas casino owner of the D Las Vegas Casino Hotel and the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino started accepting bitcoin as a payment method in January last year and has since then seen improvement in its business. The former of the two casinos is reportedly processing the highest number of bitcoin transactions, although the exact figures have not been disclosed.
Derek Stevens, CEO of the casino, told CoinDesk: "We're located in the growing tech sector of downtown Las Vegas, so it seemed like the right fit and we've definitely seen more business as a result."
Without revealing the finer details, he said that at present, the casinos see the highest number of bitcoin transactions at American Coney Island, an on-site eatery based on classic American fare.
Bitcoin is also accepted at the fine-dining restaurants Joe Vicari's Andiamo Italian Steakhouse and the D Grill.
