LTC/USD is continuing to trade flat below 200-DMA. It has hit 3.84 levels so far in the day and continues to hover around this level (BTC-e).

Ichimoku analysis of daily chart:

Tenkan Sen: 3.87

Kijun Sen: 3.88

Trend reversal: 3.89 (90 EMA)

Major resistance is seen at 3.8444 (200-day MA) and a consistent break above would face next major resistance at 3.89 (90 EMA)/4.04 levels.

On the other hand, 3.75 is acting as a support for the pair and a break below would target break below 3.71 (August 28 low)/3.50 (psychological level)/ 3.22 (August 02 low).

Confidential Transactions coming soon?

In an online post on Reddit, a Litecoin developer Xinxi has revealed plans about adding confidential transactions feature to the cryptocurrency.

“[E]ach Litecoin transaction consists of at least one input and output, and for now, the amount of each input and output is clearly shown to the public, causing privacy issues and potential loss of fungibility. To make Litecoin even more attractive as a digital currency, we are planning to add the confidential transactions feature into it”, the developer wrote.

The post added that the basic idea behind this feature is to hide the amount of Litecoins in all inputs and outputs and at the same time guarantee all outputs equal to the inputs in a cryptographically verifiable way. Xinxi further stated that Litecoin creator Charlie Lee is showing interested in this new feature and a concrete implementation plan will be drafted soon.

Litecoin 5th Anniversary Edition Ledger Nano S

To commemorate the occasion of Litecoin’s five years of existence, the Litecoin Association and the Litecoin core devs have teamed up with Ledger to release 500 limited edition Ledger Nano S's.

“We are working with Ledger to add Litecoin support to the wallets. So you can store Litecoin and Bitcoin in the same Ledger wallet and access the coins via a Chrome app. This will of course work on all Ledger Nano S's and not just these 500 wallets”, the announcement reads.
