“We are excited to welcome Frank to the LBi family,” said Richard Teed, LBi Software President. “Throughout Frank’s time at MLB Scouting Bureau he has been a sounding board for scouting application development at LBi. LBi will benefit from Frank’s vast experience in baseball scouting and the amateur draft, enabling us to keep our scouting applications at the top of their game.”
During Frank’s time at MLB Scouting Bureau (MLSB) he provided leadership and direction for the scouting staff under the direction of Major League Baseball. Under his management, the Bureau designed and implemented innovative domestic and pro scouting programs and policies to benefit all 30 Major League organizations. In addition, MLSB also developed international scouting protocols in Latin America designed to evaluate and identify prospects for scouting and investigative purposes. These MLSB programs were designed for teaching the basic foundations of scouting principles for individuals sponsored by the Major League clubs. Participation in the programs greatly enhanced careers of many in the game today, while benefiting the Baseball industry with highly trained individuals in the field of scouting. The programs had over 1,300 graduates, many who went on to prominent baseball operations positions (including GMs, AGMs, Scouting Directors, Farm Directors, etc.).
“Frank’s robust scouting knowledge is a natural fit for what LBi Dynasty offers today,” said Alex Anthopoulos, General Manager of the Atlanta Braves.
