Jung Joon Young showed up at the Seoul Central District Court on the morning of Thursday, March 21. He attended the hearing that will determine if the police’s request for an arrest warrant for him is necessary at this point.

Before going to the court, Jung Joon Young faced the big crown of the press first and read his statement. The singer and variety show TV personality apologized once again to the public and women who were victimized from his misdeeds.

"I am truly sorry. I admit to all charges against me,” CNN News quoted Jung as saying. “I will not challenge the charges brought by the investigative agency, and I will humbly accept the court's decision."

He added, "I bow my head in apology to the women who were victimized by my actions and to the females who suffered from rumors online."

A few hours after the hearing, it was confirmed that Jung Joon Young has been arrested as the court decided to issue the warrant of arrest that was requested by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on March 18. He was charged for illegal filming and sharing of sex videos in group chatrooms for his friends to watch. As per the Associated Press News, the singer was handcuffed and brought to a police station in Seoul.

The authorities are also investigating BIGBANG’s Seungri over suspicions of using women and offering them to investors in exchange for a deal or business favors. He is also being checked for drugs, prostitution, tax evasion, colluding with the police and other violations relating to his club businesses in Seoul including the Burning Sun and Monkey Museum.

In any case, Seungri is being criticized for choosing to defend himself by claiming many of the words in the chatroom conversations were typos that is why the real word appeared to be something bad or rude. His lawyer said, “Seungri meant those that "play well," he doesn't use vulgar language like that."

One commenter said, "Enough with you! Does he really think we're that stupid (to believe those were typos)?” while the other said, "Seungri's still coming up with childish excuses in a situation like this. Just say that your cat typed it for you.”

Meanwhile, Seungri has not been charged with anything yet, he also denied engaging in prostitution, using drugs and bribing the police. However, Allkpop reported that he admitted to wrongly registering his Monkey Museum as a restaurant instead of a club to avoid paying high taxes.
