Jennifer Garner and Brad Pitt were previously reported to be secretly dating but this was debunked. Now, it was said that the “Peppermint” actress is leaning on Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband as she is facing a difficult time, especially with Ben Affleck still struggling to keep away from alcohol.
Brad Pitt had a problem with alcohol as well but he quit drinking last year after breaking up with Angelina. Since then, he has successfully maintained his sobriety and this is due to his determination and commitment to be healthier and remain sober.
NW magazine (via Gossip Cop) alleged that Jennifer Garner was impressed with Brad Pitt’s perseverance and amazing self-restraint which kept him away from alcohol. Thus, the “Fury” actor became her rock as her own ex-husband is struggling to be alcohol-free.
The magazine further stated that Brad knows what Jen is going through so he naturally lent his shoulder for the latter to lean on. “He can understand what Jennifer is dealing with first-hand,” NW wrote.
But Gossip Cop said that NW’s claim about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Garner is not true. The publication reasoned that not long ago, the magazine falsely declared that the two actors have been dating in secret for months. Now it is dragging Ben Affleck into the story and another phony news item has been created.
The fact-checking site added that it can’t trace the sources mentioned by NW magazine so it likely that they do not exist at all. GC also directly contacted the actors’ respective representatives and the rumors were denied each time. One thing is clear, Jennifer Garner and Brad Pitt are not dating and the former is not leaning on the latter for support while Ben tries to stay sober.
Meanwhile, prior to the finalization of their divorce, Jennifer Garner brought Ben Affleck to a rehab facility as he experienced a relapse into alcoholism following his breakup with Lindsay Shookus. He recently completed his 40-day rehab stint but he still continues to receive treatment as an outpatient.
