Ivanka Trump praises husband Jared Kushner's crisis-handling ability in 2015 interview

Much has been said about Ivanka Trump’s marriage to her fellow White House adviser Jared Kushner. In a 2015 interview, Ivanka praised her husband’s ability to handle a crisis.

Speaking to Vogue magazine back in 2015, Ivanka gushed about her husband, whom she has three children with, and praised his ability to stay calm even in a crisis. The couple met in 2007 and got married two years later in 2009, with Ivanka converting to Judaism to marry Kushner. In the interview, Ms. Trump noted her similarities with Kushner, describing both of them as having been “ambitious” since they were young.

Ivanka then shared how surprised she was at her husband being able to stay calm and collected even under pressure. She added that this may be attributed to Kushner being a “solution-oriented” person. “The world could be collapsing around him and nothing fazes him,” said the White House adviser. “I feel very lucky to have met, like, a great New Jersey boy.”

Kushner revealed that their ability to work together was how they are able to have a lasting marriage. However, he adds that Ivanka plays a more dominant role between the two of them, describing his wife as the “CEO of the household” and himself as someone on “the board of directors.”

“We both pick up slack for each other where it’s needed but she doesn’t want to outsource mothering, so she’s very involved,” said Kushner.

Following their stint in Washington as White House advisers, the couple and their family are widely-speculated to be relocating to Florida. Ivanka has also been speculated to continue pursuing her career in politics post-White House as does the rest of her family. However, she has recently implied that her sister-in-law Lara Trump may be eyeing for a seat at the Senate in 2022.

Lara, who is married to Ivanka’s brother Eric Trump, has long been rumored to eye a career in politics. Hailing from Wilmington, North Carolina, Ms. Trump may be looking to replace Richard Burr after he leaves in 2022 and has been a favorite. Upon confirmation by The Hill that Lara was indeed planning a Senate bid in a report shared on Twitter, Ivanka retweeted the report with the caption of American flag emojis.
