Innovative Tasmania Awards 2016 nominates Australian bitcoin firm

Australian-based Get Pain in Bitcoin (GPIB), a bitcoin salary firm, has been nominated for Innovative Tasmania Awards 2016 in the Innovative Startup category.

The Innovative Tasmania Awards has recently expanded its categories of awards to Innovative Start-up; Innovative Product; Innovative Science and Technology; Innovative Service; Innovative Community; Innovative Environment; Innovative Government; among others.

The festival is a part of Tasmanian Breath of Fresh Air (BOFA) Film Festival in the City of Launceston and will take places from November 10-13, 2016. The festival is open for voting until September 30. According to bitcoin.com, the nomination of digital currency company represents a milestone towards mainstream acceptance of bitcoin in Australia.

“We feel that Bitcoin is still in the early adopter phase with many questions about its relevance from the wider public as many of the regular things you expect to do with money are either nonexistent or difficult. We think this will be a strong growth leader into the future, bringing new people into Bitcoin and allowing growth of the BTC economy and retail Bitcoin sector,” Adam Poulton, founder and CEO of GPIB told bitcoin.com.

Voting is open and can be cast in any one or many categories among 11 in total. Voters have to click on the tab that matches the specific award, select and read the description and vote for the best in that category by using the survey at the bottom. Only one vote can be cast per category.
