With 100+ Educational Sessions, Annual Conference Arms Advisors with Best Practices and Resources they Need to Prosper and Deliver a Premium Client Experience
LAS VEGAS, June 27, 2017 -- HD Vest, a leading independent financial services firm providing wealth management solutions, specifically through tax professionals, today began its four-day annual CONNECT2017 conference. Taking place at the Wynn Las Vegas & Encore Hotel in Las Vegas, the conference brings together more than 1,500 advisors, exhibitors and other partners to discuss the dynamic financial advice industry.
The theme of this year’s conference – Ignite-Evolve-Achieve – serves to inspire advisors to grow their practices, navigate through industry changes and reach their 2017 goals.
“When we first developed our CONNECT conference, our goal was to help advisors implement tools to energize and expand their practices,” said Bob Oros, CEO of HD Vest. “Now in our twenty-second year, our conference provides advisors with the latest information regarding regulatory changes, technology disruption and other trends impacting the industry. This year’s theme, ‘Ignite – Evolve – Achieve’ will help advisors explore the tools at their disposal to navigate industry changes that are directly impacting their businesses.”
Activities at this year’s conference include:
- Over 100 intimate breakout sessions and networking events focusing on important industry topics such as discussing fees with clients, emphasizing cybersecurity, and creating advisor succession plans.
- Keynote address from Sugar Ray Leonard, a legendary sports icon and Olympian, and author of The Big Fight, My Life in and Out of the Ring.
- Other speakers include best-selling author Daniel Pink and internationally-recognized artist Phil Hansen.
- Networking events such as receptions, dinners and breakfasts.
Building on this year’s theme of evolution, the Department of Labor Fiduciary Rule will play a large role at this year’s conference – with multiple panels and sessions focusing on the important topic. Advisors will learn different tactics and tools to help guide compliance with the next phase of implementation.
