Lots of economic dockets scheduled for today and some with high volatility risks associated.

 

Data released so far –

 

  • China – NBS manufacturing PMI came at 50.1 for May, same as prior. Non-manufacturing PMI declined to 53.1 from 53.5. Caixin manufacturing PMI came at 49.2 for May, lower than 49.4 in April.

 

  • Australia – First quarter GDP rose 1.1%, up 3.1% from a year ago.

 

  • Japan – Nikkei manufacturing PMI improved marginally to 47.7 in May from 47.6 in April.

  • Switzerland – First quarter GDP will be released at 5:45 GMT. Prior 0.4% y/y, expected 0.8%. Real retail sales for May will be published at 7:15 GMT, followed by SVME PMI at 7:30 GMT.

 

  • UK – Nationwide House prices will be released at 6:00 GMT. Prior 4.9% y/y, expected 4.6%.

 

  • Spain – Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 7:15 GMT. Prior 53.5, expected 52.6

 

  • Italy – Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 7:45 GMT. Prior 53.9, expected 53

 

  • France - Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 7:50 GMT. Prior 48.3, expected 48.3

 

  • Germany - Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 7:55 GMT. Prior 52.4, expected 52.4

 

  • Greece – Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 8:00 GMT. Prior 49.7

 

  • Euro Zone – Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 8:00 GMT. Prior 51.5, expected 51.5

 

  • United Kingdom - Markit manufacturing PMI will be released at 8:30 GMT. Prior 49.2 expected 49.6. Money supply and consumer credit report will be published along.

 

  • United States – MBA mortgage applications will be released at 11:00 GMT. ISM manufacturing PMI report will be released at 14:00 GMT. FED will release Beige book at 18:00 GMT.

 

  • New Zealand – Global dairy auctions scheduled for today.
