Lot of economic dockets scheduled for today, focus on SNB and BOE monetary policies.

  • Australia - Consumer inflation expectations rise to 4% in December from 3.5% prior. Employment rose by 71,400 in November, pushing unemployment rate to 5.8%, despite 0.3% rise in participation rate.
  • UK - RICS house price balance dropped to 49% in November.

  • China - China might release statistics on money supply and loans today.
     
  • France - Inflation for November to be released at 7:45 GMT, along with industrial output for October and payrolls for third quarter.
     
  • Switzerland - SNB to announce interest rate decision.
     
  • UK - Trade balance for October t be released at 9:30 GMT. BOE will announce monetary policy decision at 12:00 GMT.
     
  • Greece - Industrial production for October, inflation for November and unemployment rate for September, all to be released at 10:00 GMT.
     
  • India - Current account for third quarter might get released today.
     
  • US - Weekly initial jobless claims to be released at 13:30 GMT, along with terms of trade for November. EIA will release natural gas inventory report.
     
  • Canada - New house price for November will be released at 13:30 GMT.
     
  • Germany - Bundesbank president Weidmann scheduled to speak today at 18:00 GMT.
     
  • New Zealand - Business PMI to be released at 21:30 GMT, followed by food price index for November at 21:45 GMT.
     
  • Auctions -US will auction 30 year bond at 18:00 GMT.
