“Gotham” season 5 will be up for broadcast for the show's final run. Fox confirmed the show’s fifth season and revealed that it will be the last as well.

The action-packed series will premiere on 2019. It will deviate from its normal air season of mid-to-late September. Comic Book reported that the “Batman” prequel will have only 10 episodes, which is three episodes shorter than the previous seasons.

As for the plot of “Gotham” season 5, its producer, Danny Cannon, said that it will be a "reboot but unpredictable." "The cataclysmic event that happens in the last three episodes not only will change Gotham," DC Comics News quoted Cannon as saying, via the Comic Book report.

"It not only combines so many characters that you don't think will co-operate with each other, but it changes the face of Gotham forever, so that season five, it's almost a reboot and a different show," he added.

In any case, the setting for “Gotham” season 5 will be in London and the year is 1960. It will highlight the origins of the former British SAS soldier who built a secret company and later worked with Thomas Wayne.

Characters to Expect in “Gotham” season 5

Ben McKenzie (young Commissioner Gordon), Donal Logue (Harvey Bullock), David Mazouz (young Bruce Wayne) and Sean Pertwee (Alfred Pennyworth) will all return for the fifth season. Of course, supporting actors like Cory Michael Smith (Riddler), Robin Lord Taylor (Penguin), Camren Bicondova (Selina Kyle/Catwoman) and Morena Baccarin (Leslie Thompkins) are expected to give life to their characters once again.

Episode Titles

The first four episodes of “Gotham” season 5 have been revealed ahead of its 2019 premiere. As per SpoilerTV, the upcoming “Batman” spinoff will feature these titles: Episode 1 – “Year Zero,” Episode 2 – “Trespassers,” Episode 3 – “Penguin, Our Hero” and Episode 4 – "Ruin."

Finally, for viewers in the U.K., it is highly likely that they can watch “Gotham” season 5 on Netflix since three seasons were previously released there.
