‘Girl Meets World’ season 3’s episode 19, titled “World Meets Girl,” is reportedly a special episode with audience interaction and will premiere before the final two episodes, titled "Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen" and "Girl Meets Goodbye."
According to Cartermatt, the incoming episode will be less an ordinary episode and more an interactive special as cast members answer questions from members of the audience. It will feature the series’ protagonist Riley Matthews as well as her best friend Maya Hart. Rowan Blanchard plays Riley while Sabrina Carpenter plays Maya.
The hour-long episode could also take viewers behind-the-scenes on a guided tour on the components of creating the popular coming-of-age sitcom.
It was speculated that the episode will also feature a major announcement regarding the show’s future, which is yet to be renewed on the network, according to International Business Times. The official Twitter page Girl Meets Writers posted, “Next: You are cordially invited to World Meets Girl. A one hour thank you note from us to you.” Another tweet announced, “World Meets Girl. January 6, from 6:00-7:00. Every other episode we hope you learn from us. In this episode, we learn so much from you.”
Meanwhile, Rider Strong’s recent comments during a recent episode of his podcast, “Literary Disco,” hinted at the show’s rumored cancellation. He said, "We finished the third season of Girl Meets World. My brother and I were directing a lot of episodes and I acted in a couple. And the show ended."
However, the show’s writers insisted that the series’ fate remains unconfirmed. According to Screen Crush, the writers claimed that there was no “official word” yet and nothing was certain at present. The official Twitter page Girl Meets Writers tweeted, “There is no official word as yet. Disney decision on season 4 coming soon. Officially, season 3 ends with 3 wonderful episodes in January.”
‘Girl Meets World’ season 3’s episode 19, titled “World Meets Girl,” is expected to air on Disney Channel on January 6, 2017. It will be followed by the last two episodes of the season titled "Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen" and "Girl Meets Goodbye", scheduled for January 13 and January 20, respectively.
