It was recently claimed that George Clooney and Amal Clooney are wanting to have a bigger family by adopting their third child. However, the story was later debunked.

The latest report on the supposed adoption plans of the Clooneys came from the Heat tabloid magazine. A source of the publication claimed that having more children has been a dream for George and Amal.

“It’s something they’ve been talking about for a long time – since before they got married – and now they have decided to go for it, and they couldn’t be happier,” the insider added. The tipster further said that it was Amal’s desire to have a third child, specifically a daughter, and considered adoption since she and George had their twins “relatively late in life.”

On the other hand, Gossip Cop labeled Heat’s source on Amal and George’s rumored adoption as “questionable.” The fact-checking news outlet also noted that the insider absurdly had no other details provided about the supposed adoption process.

George and Amal welcomed their twins, a son and a daughter, in June 2017 and were named Alexander and Ella. The actor’s rep later issued an official statement informing fans that the then-newborn babies and the international human rights lawyer were all “healthy, happy and doing fine” after the delivery. As for George, the publicist joked he needed to be “sedated” to “recover.”

Months after welcoming their twins, George revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that he and Amal have had no discussions about raising a family while they were still dating. “We never talked about it until after we were married, which is funny. … After the wedding, Amal and I were talking and we just felt we'd gotten very lucky, both of us, and we should share whatever good luck we've got. It would seem self-centered to just have that belong to us,” George recalled.

When asked whether they want to have more kids, Amal shook her head and told THR, “I’m 39. I already had them quite late.” Meanwhile, George later told Extra TV in another interview that he is “done” having kids.
