Not many economic data and events scheduled for today but some with high volatility risks associated.

Data released so far:

  • Australia: Westpac consumer confidence in May declined by 1.1 percent to 98. Wage price grew by 0.5 percent on a quarterly basis, up 1.9 percent from a year ago.
     
  • Japan: Industrial production declined by 1.9 percent in March, up 3.3 percent from a year ago.

Upcoming:

  • Eurozone: ECB will hold its non-monetary policy meeting today. Consumer price inflation report will be published at 9:00 GMT, along with construction output.
     
  • Italy: trade balance report for March will be published at 8:00 GMT.
     
  • United Kingdom: ILO unemployment report will be published at 8:30 GMT.
     
  • United States: MBA mortgage applications report will be published at 11:00 GMT. EIA will release its weekly inventory report at 14:30 GMT.
     
  • Japan: Flash first quarter report will be released at 23:50 GMT.
     
  • Auction: Germany will auction 30-year bonds today.
