FxWirePro: Asian markets remarkably up, gold slips below $1,300 mark

All the major Asian indices were trading on a higher note on Monday. Gold was trading around $1,296 mark while silver was trading around $15.24 mark.

Tokyo's Nikkei was trading 1.12 pct higher at 21,838.85 points.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.47 pct higher at 6,221.41 points.

Shanghai composite index to open up 0.7 pct at 3,015.94 points and China's CSI300 index up over 2 pct.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 1.20 pct higher at 29,156.25 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.30 pct higher at 2,202.55 points.

Taiwan stocks open flat at 10,385.25 points.

Indian markets will remain close in observance on Mahashivratri festival.
